The Green Wellbeing Alliance is a collaboration of organisations in and around Brighton that provide therapeutic outdoor activities. Participants improve wellbeing and health while connecting with nature and other people.
All members of the Alliance offer “nature-based interventions designed and structured for health and social care treatment, for vulnerable groups in society including those with mental illness, learning difficulties, dementia, or life limiting illness”.
I am really excited to be a part of this group who are working together to raise the profile of nature-based therapeutic activities, establish best practice, share resources and establish a broad-based platform for the funding and commissioning of green wellbeing activities.
The alliance currently involves the following organisations, all of whom are doing great work in this field:
- Centre for Ecotherapy
- Plot 22
- The Sussex Recovery College
- Rock Farm
- Sussex Wildlife Trust
- Where Two Rivers Meet
- Brighton & Hove Food Partnership
